What Does No Win No Fee Mean?
A no win, no fee agreement (formally called a Conditional Fee Agreement, or CFA) means your lawyer only gets paid if your claim succeeds. If the claim fails, you owe nothing in legal fees.
What Happens If You Win?
If your claim is successful:
- The majority of the legal costs are recovered from the at-fault party's insurer
- A "success fee" (a percentage of your compensation) may be deducted — this is capped by law
- You keep the majority of your compensation
Are There Any Upfront Costs?
No. You pay nothing to start your claim and nothing while it's being processed. All costs are handled within the claim.
